How much meat will I get in a quarter beef?
Typically quarters are between 100 and 140 pounds hanging weight (Hwt). Hwt is the carcass weight before dry aging. Your take-home package weight is approximately 25% lower than Hwt due to moisture loss during dry aging, bone cut-out, and amount of fat.
How much meat will I get in a half pork?
A half animal will be about 70-80 pounds (hanging weight) of meat
How much will a quarter beef cost?
Depending on the size of the quarter, cost is between $600 – $650 (includes cost of processing).
How much will a quarter pig cost?
A quarter pig will cost around $315 – $360 (depending on the size of the animal).
How much room will my beef/pork take in my freezer?
A quarter beef will not take up more than 3 shelves in a side by side refrigerator or two ordinary size ice chests.
A half pig will take 2-3 shelves in a side by side refrigerator.
Is it really 100% grass fed?
Yes. Our beef is 100% grass fed and lives entirely on native forages, irrigated pasture, and occasionally some hay.
Where do we pick up our meat?
Your meat will be delivered to a central location in Phoenix. We always meet on a Friday evening.
Do you dry-age your meat?
Yes. We have an excellent meat cutter who dry ages your meat (for tenderness and to enhance the flavor) for 14 days before processing it.
Will my meat be cut, frozen, and labeled?
Yes, it will be cut, frozen, labeled, and ready to go into your freezer.
